High Winds Leave Many Without Power

BEVERLY HILLS—As of 9 p.m. Monday night, Southern California Edison reported that nearly 1,000 customers were without power after high winds swept through the Southland.

Roughly 13,000 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers experienced power outages throughout several communities due to the high winds; the power has since been restored to most.

By 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, SCE said that the outages affected 830 customers located in Riverside County.

In a press release, SCE stated that they “will provide the latest information about outages at www.SCE.comon Facebook and Twitter, and via our mobile ”˜SCE Outages’ app, available online at www.SCE.com/outages. Customers can report any unplanned outages at 1-800-655-455.”
