BEVERLY HILLS—At around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 11, a suspicious package was left at the front of the Chanel store on the 400 block of N. Rodeo Drive. The Beverly Hills Police, Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad arrived at the scene for inspection of what appeared to be an explosive device.

For the safety of Chanel’s employees, the employees of those surrounding businesses and patrons of the area, the premises were evacuated immediately. However, after the package was examined and determined as safe by the LA Bomb Squad, Chanel’s surrounding streets and sidewalks were reopened.

Although no physical danger took place, there were anti-Semitic remarks written on the package. The suspects and motive remain unknown. If you have any information on this crime, please contact the Beverly Hills Police Department at (310) 550-4951.
