The female comedic duo gave the NBC network a major ratings boost when they hosted the 70th Golden Globe Awards earlier this year. According to Nielsen, the comedians attracted the show’s highest ratings in six years with 19.7 million total viewers, including a 28 percent increase in viewers between the ages of 18 and 49.
Besides hosting the Golden Globes together, Fey and Poehler have a long history of working together from the skits on "Saturday Night Live" and the movies "Mean Girls" and "Baby Mama."
Their close personal relationship with one another translated to on-screen chemistry as they pulled playful pranks and jokes on the audience of the at last year's Golden Globes ceremony. Hilarious moments include Poehler and Fey impersonating actors from the nominated film “Dog President” and encouraging viewers at home to play a drinking game throughout the show.
When asked about the rules of the game on the red carpet, Tina responded, “The rules are whatever you want them to be. If someone cries during a speech, you take a drink. If someone’s boob falls out of their dress, you take a drink,” with Poehler adding, “and frankly if you had a tough week, you take a drink.”
