BRENTWOOD—A tree trimmer was stuck in a Eucalyptus tree on a hillside behind a home in Brentwood for almost two hours until he was freed by 32 Los Angeles firefighters. The man's situation was reported on Monday, January 7, at 5:40 p.m. at 11808 West Kearsarge Street, two blocks south of Sunset Boulevard.

The homeowner's gardener noticed someone in the tree an hour after the crew to trim trees on the property packed up and left. The firefighters used 35-foot ladders, ropes and harnesses in order to bring the man safely to the ground.

The rescue turned out to be difficult due to challenges that arose from attempting to put ladders up on the hillside. When the firefighters finally made it to the man, they noticed the worker was hanging from a harness that slipped from his waist to underneath his arms. The man was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

It was reported that the worker was intoxicated at the time and had a half-full bottle of Camarena Tequila tucked into his work belt. The man's name was not released and it is unclear how he got stuck in the tree.
