BRENTWOOD—SoulCycle, the acclaimed indoor cycling shop from New York, is coming to Brentwood in the near future. 

The new shop, located at 11640 San Vicente Boulevard, is scheduled to open this fall. This shop comes in addition to the business's older location in West Hollywood.

For those not familiar with it, SoulCycle is the new cycling work out that provides a full body workout, combining coaching and high-energy music. Unlike many cycling classes, SoulCycle works riders’ core and uses hand weights to tone upper bodies in addition to burning calories, building endurance, and strengthening legs.

Additionally, SoulCycle cyclists ride by candlelight creating a place where riders can come to clear their minds. As with any new workout, newcomers may ask “is this right for me? Do I have the fitness level to take a SoulCycle Class?” According to SoulCycle, “one of the best things about indoor cycling is that it can be adapted to any fitness level. With the ability to adjust the resistance level on the bike, one can gauge the level of the workout to suit each rider's abilities. With every class comes a new level of confidence and strength.”

Cycling is seen as a popular form of exercise. It provides the cardio benefits of running without the impact that can lead to a sore back and sore knees.

SoulCycle offers several different classes. The first is its original SoulCycle, a 45-minute full-body cycling workout that incorporates weights and core exercises designed to burn fat and increase strength. SoulCycle also offers the 60-minute full body endurance ride, SoulBands (which incorporates resistance bands into cycling) and free community rides.
