SHERMAN OAKS—Police
are asking for the public’s help in locating a “person of interest” in a
shooting that left a 30-year-old man in critical condition on Friday, November 13.
MALIBU—On Sunday, November 8, the congregation of Malibu Presbyterian Church met to worship at the church's new location, 3324 Malibu Canyon Road. The old church fell victim to a fire.
BEVERLY HILLS—The City of Beverly Hills is taking a STEP forward in its dealings with drunk drivers. Thanks to a grant, officials will be more heavily enforcing the laws.
HOLLYWOOD—Authorities discovered a man’s body near the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Vine Street. The body was discovered at approximately 1:30 a.m.
BRENTWOOD—Philanthropist Doug Ring was found dead on Thursday, November 12. Ring was found in his Brentwood home and there are no reports of foul play.
HOLLYWOOD—On November 9, an apartment building under
construction burst into flames in Hollywood. The incident occurred on 1425 N.
Detroit Street near Sunset Boulevard.
BEVERLY HILLS—The Beverly Hills City Council reported its movement to enact an ordinance banning onychectomy (declawing) and flexor tendonectomy procedures.
WOODLAND HILLS—Comedian Katt Williams attended his scheduled bond hearing after being charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
WOODLAND HILLS—Adult film star Damien Michaels was found stabbed to death early last week while staying in a motel in Woodland Hills. The body was found on Tuesday.
SANTA MONICA—The long awaited decision over the controversial issue regarding the ban of feline declawing is over. The Santa Monica City Council voted.
LOS ANGELES—Various factions came together to dispute Mayor Villaragoisa's plan to speed up the construction of transportation infrastructure in Los Angeles.
HOLLYWOOD—Police shut down Sunset Boulevard between Martel Avenue and Gardner Street at about 4:15 p.m. after a suspect barricaded himself in a motel room.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS—Police are still looking for the suspect who shot two men at the Adat Yeshurrun Valley Sephardic Synagogue in North Hollywood on October 29.
