It was reported on Monday, November 5 that Worthington was refused entrance to Vortex Bar and Grill on Saturday night as he appeared intoxicated and didn't have valid identification to enter. A released police report states that the doorman, Jerry Link, was allegedly pushed twice by the actor.
The doorman responded by dousing the 35-year-old with pepper spray and cuffing him until police arrived at the scene. It has also been reported that he claimed he was a DEA agent and proceeded to threaten Link. Worthington will portray a DEA agent for the film "Ten" which he is currently shooting in Atlanta with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Authorities took the Australian-born actor into custody where he was charged with disorderly conduct. A surveillance video of the incident was mentioned, but never released. Despite the allegations, Link did not appear at court on Monday, therefore, the charges were dismissed.
