Brown was allegedly driving the vehicle to a charity event for the Symphonic Love Foundation when photographers in two vehicles cut him off. “The occupants then jumped out with cameras and aggressively approached his vehicle,” Brown's representative said in a statement.
Brown reportedly attempted to avoid the situation by turning into an alley on the 600 block of Bedford Drive and Camden Drive. Brown lost control of the car while in the alley and drove into a wall.
The INF photo agency claims that none of its photographers were present prior to the accident and have spoken against Brown's statements. Brown's representatives have stated that the 23-year-old plans to take legal action against the paparazzi.
It is unclear whether there were passengers in the vehicle, however, police reported that no one was injured in the accident. The singer's black Porsche was damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Chris Brown's fifth album, "Fortune," is nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Urban Contemporary Album.
