Evan Rachel Wood Weds Jamie Bell

HOLLYWOOD—Actress Evan Rachel Wood secretly married British actor Jamie Bell in California on Tuesday, October 30.

"The bride wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera," said Wood's rep in a statement. "It was a small ceremony with close family and friends." Wood expressed how happy she was via Twitter before news of their wedding was released. "Words cannot describe the happiness i am feeling," she wrote. "Overwhelming."

She began dating Bell after they co-starred in Green Day's music video for the song "Wake Me Up When September Ends." They tattooed each other's initials, Woods has a "J" on her left ankle while Bell has an "E" on his arm. They ended their relationship a year later in 2006.

Wood's relationship with rock musician Marilyn Manson became public in 2007. Although they had a brief split in 2008, they announced their engagement in 2010. However, they ended their relationship a few months afterwards. Bell and Woods rekindled their relationship five years after they broke up during the summer of 2011.

Wood's acting career began in the 1990s as she appeared in several television shows such as "American Gothic" and "Once and Again." She debuted as leading film actress in "Little Secrets" in 2002 and became nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the teen drama "Thirteen" in 2003.

Wood has acted in films such as "Running With Scissors," "Across the Universe," "The Wrestler," "Whatever Works" and "The Ides of March." She was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her role in the HBO mini series, "Mildred Pierce."

Bell served as Honorary Jury President of the 2001 Giffoni Film Festival. He is most known for his roles in the films "Billy Elliot," "King Kong," "Jumper" and "The Adventures of Tintin." He has won several awards for his role in "Billy Elliot" including the BAFTA Award for "Best Actor in a Leading Role."
