Kris Allen Injured In Car Accident

HOLLYWOOD—Singer Kris Allen was with his wife, Katy Allen, and dog Zorro when his vehicle was in a head-on collision on Tuesday, January 1.

“Thank you @ford for equipping me with a car that kept my whole family @katyallen @ZorroPup and the little one we have on the way safe,” Allen tweeted Tuesday night. He followed up the tweet with, “Yes I got in a really bad wreck tonight and yes I’m having a lil baby. #gonnabeadaddy.”
The singer's mom, Kimberly Allen, tweeted a photo of her son with a neck brace and his wrist wrapped in gauze. “From Kris: he’s in a lot of pain, arm broke, may not play guitar for a while. Prayers welcome please! #headoncollision,” she tweeted. “Kristopher and Katy are both pretty beat up but ALIVE! Thank you Jesus! They are setting his arm now and will have surgery tomorrow.”
The 2009 "American Idol" winner stated that his injuries will not interfere with his upcoming tour, "Out Alive."
