Police were called to report a man trespassing in the 11500 block of Amanda Drive in Studio City at around 4 a.m. The man was found hiding in the bushes and refused to cooperate with the police. A non-lethal Taser gun was used on the man in order to subdue and arrest him.
Authorities noticed the man, who identified himself as Jason Luis Rivera, was armed with a pair of scissors. Police searched him for any other weapons when Rivera told police, "I am a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years."
Allegedly, the man told people at Cyrus' residents that he was hoping to see the 19-year-old but she was not home at the time of the incident. He refused to leave the area and lit candles before the police arrived at the scene.
Rivera was arrested for burglary and trespassing as he was caught behind a locked security gate in the property. Police reported the man has no prior arrest record in California, however, he does have a record of trespassing as well as other charges in Texas.
