NEW ORLEANS—Popular radio host David “Kidd” Kraddick passed away on Saturday, July 27, due to an enlarged heart and cardiac disease. He was 53.

Kraddick was the host of Dallas’ “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning” and his radio show also appeared on the Fox television show “Dish Nation.” He died on Saturday during a charity golf game that was part of his non-profit organization Kidd’s Kids, which provides trips to Disney World for children who are chronically and terminally ill.

He passed from a heart disease that was due to the fact that he had an enlarged heart. A source at the golf tournament said that Kraddick had not felt well that morning and had left the tournament early.

The owner of Kiss FM, the radio station in Dallas where Kraddick worked, said the popular radio personality “died doing what he loved, working selflessly for children.”
