OAKLAND—Terrelle Pryor will start as quarterback during the Oakland Raiders’ final preseason game. Pryor will get one final chance to show the Raiders he deserves the starting position.

Matt Flynn, Oakland’s current starting quarterback, and Pryor have been in an ongoing competition to run the Raiders’ offense. Flynn was handed the starting job after being acquired in a trade from Seattle during the offseason. He hasn’t looked sharp, but he has completed 70 percent of his passes even though they have been short-range tosses. Injuries have plagued the Raiders’ second round pick Menelik Watson, who missed most of training camp with a calf injury. He will return to the team during its final preseason game.

The Raiders’ open their season in less than two weeks in Indianapolis, with coach Allen having to make a decisive decision in picking the team’s starting quarterback.
