LOS ANGELES—The USC Trojans football team is upbeat after they took part in their final practice at home before playing against Hawaii last weekend. They’re coming off a 2012 campaign that saw the Trojans stumble and suffer a disappointing 7-6 record.

Coach Kiffin and the team have a lot to prove this upcoming season. It should be a good game for USC, whom are heavily favored to win the game since Hawaii had a 3-9 record. The Trojans beat them 49-10 last season and Hawaii is ranked No. 118 in yards per game. The Trojans defeated Hawaii 30-13. The Trojans defense dominated Hawaii.

Kiffin has stated on more than one occasion that he anticipated playing both Wittek and Kessler as quarterback in the Trojans opener, which the coach did.

Injuries have plagued the Trojans recently with over 20 players sitting.
