Blackhawks Win Game Five

CHICAGO—On Saturday, June 23, the Chicago Blackhawks pushed the Boston Bruins to the brink of elimination with a game five win. The Blackhawks won 3-1 to go up in the Stanley Cup Finals 3-2.

Patrick Kane scored in the first period for Chicago to put them up by one. He scored once again during the second period to put the Blackhawks up to 2-0. Dave Bolland scored in the third period for the Blackhawks to finish off the Bruins. Corey Crawford had 24 saves and the stellar play of Kane who led the Blackhawks to their 2010 Cup, which was their first title in 49 years.

 

Tuukka Rask played well for Boston again with 29 saves trying to keep his team in the game, but their offense came too late. Zdeno Chara scored their first and only goal during the third period. To top it off the Bruins lost their star center Patrice Bergeron who is possibly out game six.

 

The best of seven games series between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins will continue on Monday with game six in Boston.
