Boston Bruins Take A Commanding 3-0 Lead

BOSTON—On Wednesday, June 5, the Boston Bruins won game three in Boston to take a 3-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins won the two-overtime thriller 2-1 to push the Penguins to the brink of elimination and make their way to the Stanley Cup Finals.

David Krejci started the game on the right foot for Boston scoring the first goal less than two minutes into the first period. Tuuka Rask stopped 39 shots for the Bruins and the game-winning goal came in the second overtime by Patrice Bergeron with less than five minutes to go in the overtime.

 

Tomas Vokoun made 52 saves for the Pittsburgh Penguins and their only goal came in the second period by Chris Kunitz and both teams weren’t able to score a goal until Bergeron won the game. The Penguins are on the wrong side of a 3-0 series lead. 

 

The best of seven games series will continue with game four in Boston on Friday.
