Bruins Even Stanley Cup Finals

CHICAGO—The Boston Bruins evened up the Stanley Cup Finals at 1-1 on the road. The Bruins won 2-1 to take home court advantage away from the Blackhawks who now find themselves on the road.

The Boston Bruins and the Blackhawks went into overtime once again, this time the Bruins came out on top. The Bruins first goal came during the second period by Chris Kelly tying the score 1-1. Daniel Paille won the game for Boston during the first overtime. Tuukka Rask had 33 saves for the game to help lead the Bruins to a victory.

 

The Blackhawks scored the first goal of the game during the first period by Patrick Sharp. Chicago wasn’t able to score again the rest of the game and eventually fell in overtime. Corey Crawford had 26 saves, which wasn’t enough to keep the Bruins from scoring twice.

 

The best of seven games series between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks will continue with game three in Boston on Monday.
