Duncan Keith scored the first goal for the Blackhawks a little less than four minutes into the game. Patrick Kane scored three goals for Chicago, his first during the second period and his second during the third period. His final goal, which was also the game winning goal, came during the second overtime. Corey Crawford made 33 saves for the game.

The reigning Stanley Cup champions were hoping to make it two in a row, but failed to make the finals this year. The Kings put up a good fight. Dwight King scored the first goal for Los Angeles in the second period. Anze Kopitar scored during the third period and Mike Richards scored in the third period to tie the game and send it into overtime. After putting up a valiant fight the Kings fell in five games.

The Chicago Blackhawks advance to play against the Boston Bruins in the Finals, which begin on Wednesday, June 12.
