Posted by Cassie Day on Sep 20, 2012 - 11:15:23 AM

HOLLYWOOD—Interested in seeing the rising talent of Hollywood? This weekend on Friday, September 21, Los Angeles will be having its New Filmmakers Screening Event. The event runs from 5:30-11:30 p.m., with three different programs each offering pre-receptions and after-parties at the filmmakers lounge. The event also offers the filmmaker lounge where the directors of each film, actors and crew can be met. There will be an audience Q+A.

The NFMLA Screening Event is an opportunity for filmmakers worldwide to have their short films seen by the public and professionals in a fun atmosphere that all will enjoy. The filmmakers are able to discuss their works and have professionals offer their opinions and feedback, while being recognized for their contributions towards the non-profit organization.

Some of the short films that will be screened are Director Jonathan Nix’s “The Missing Key”, Director Rachel Goldberg’s “Neighbors”, Director Vincent Fitz-Jim’s “Emma and Eva”, Director Rene Rhi’s “Bordando La Frontera”, and Director Ella Hatamian’s, “The Epiphany.” There will be twelve short film screenings; four for each program. If you’re interested in knowing more about the films screened, the website offers previews for each of the short films.

It's time to partake in the film fun.

Such films like, “Too Much Sleep” and “Blair Witch Project” were noticed at these New Filmmaker screenings; don’t miss the opportunity to be apart of the excitement and talent.
