According to the Facebook page for Madame Tussauds, this is the first time the exhibit is coming to the West Coast, as it has been a traveling exhibit for the past two years.

Blue13 Dance Company, a Los Angeles based contemporary Indian dance theatre ensemble, performed a traditional Bollywood performance for the opening of the ceremony.

The exhibit features lifelike figures of five Hindi cinema legends including: Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most renowned actors in the genre who is often referred to as “King Khan;” Aishwarya Rai, a leading contemporary actress; Hrithik Roshan, actor and Best Actor award recipient; Kareena Kapoor, noted for her diversity as a Bollywood actress; and Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most influential actors in the genre.

The wax figures were created by a team in London and took nearly four months to create and cost $300,000 each, according to the release.

The exhibit joins other traveling exhibits on the Beatles, ABBA and Michael Jackson. It will be on display through the end of November.
