HOLLYWOOD HILLS—A drunk man was impaled on a wrought iron fence outside a house in Hollywood Hills on Friday, November 2 at approximately 12:14 p.m.
The unidentified victim, reported to be in his 20's, was intoxicated when he and a friend tried to climb over a wall in order to enjoy the view of the city. One of the men was able to successfully climb over the wall, but the other man became stuck on an iron fence on the other side of the wall.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, no crime occurred during the incident. However, it has not been determined whether the men will be charged with trespassing as they had no business in the neighborhood.
Los Angeles firefighters responded to the scene at 1236 N. Sierra Alta Way and had to cut off a section of the fence, which was on top a masonry wall near the entry gate of the property, before taking him to a local hospital in stable condition. Officials reported that a piece of wrought iron was still lodged in the man's right thigh to avoid massive bleeding before reaching the hospital.
