The LAPD says that the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. The suspect was allegedly caught attempting to steal a laptop, which was owned by the victim. This occurred at a building at Russell and Western avenues a bit before 5 a.m.

According to LAPD’s Hollywood Division Detective Warren Eberhardt, the suspect and victim were leaving the building when the victim realized his laptop was missing. This led to a confrontation between the suspect and victim, which ultimately lead to the suspect allegedly stabbing the victim in the upper body multiple times with an unidentified sharp object which he took with him. The victim is currently recovering in the hospital.

The police are looking for an African-American male in his 20s or 30s. He is approximately six-feet two inches tall and 170 pounds. The suspect also has a bald spot on the left side of his head.

The LAPD is asking for anyone with knowledge on this suspect to contact Detective Eberhardt or Officer Adrian Maxwell of the Hollywood Division at (213) 972-2955 or call 1-877-LAPD during non-business hours.
