HOLLYWOOD HILLS—Two-time Oscar winning actor Robert De Niro imprinted his hands, feet, and signature at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday, February 4.
The 69-year-old actor is up for an academy award at the Oscars for a supporting actor in “Silver Linings Playbook.” This precedes his previously attained awards for best supporting actor in “The Godfather Part II” in 1974 and for best actor in 1980 for “Raging Bull.”
De Niro left his handprints among the 200 other stars that have left theirs, including Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, and Shirley Temple in the recently renamed TCL Chinese Theatre’s courtyard.
In reference to the many gangster films he stared in over the course of career, “The Godfather” star delivered a thank you speech and a few comedic anecdotes, stating, “Joe Pesci always said I'd end up with my feet in cement. I don't think this is what he had in mind.”
