Steve Harvey
HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The “Family Feud” game show host, Steve Harvey, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, May 13 and was joined at the ceremony by fellow TV hosts Ellen Degeneres and Phil McGraw.

At the ceremony, Harvey said, “I share this star with every single fan of Steve Harvey,” specifically those who “clapped for me, cheered for me, bought tickets for me.”

Harvey began his stand-up comedy career in Cleveland in 1985 and has hosted “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” since September 2000, which garners roughly 6 million radio listeners each week.

He is the youngest of five children, born January 17, 1957 in Welch, WV, and attended Kent State and West Virginia universities.

Since 1993, Harvey hosted the series “Showtime at the Apollo,” which ended in 2000, starred in comedy show “Me and the Boys,” which aired in 1994-95 and “The Steve Harvey Show,” which had a six-year-run from 1996-2002.

Harvey also starred in the films “Love Don’t Cost A Thing,” “You Got Served” and “Madea Goes to Jail."

The inauguration of the 2,497th star was held in front of the W Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. The ceremony corresponds with the start of the nomination process for the Neighborhood Awards, a program Harvey and his producer, Rushion McDonald, formed to honor local businesses, schools, teachers and leaders.
