"Vin Diesel is one of Hollywood’s most popular action stars known to the world over. We are thrilled to add him to our action-packed Walk of Fame, where he should feel right at home," stated Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.

Actors Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez along with Ron Meyer, Presidential and COO of Universal Studios, will be present for the unveiling of Diesel's star in the category of Motion Pictures.

Vin Diesel, a native of New York City has become a household name and is one of Hollywood's most sought after film stars. Diesel has starred in a string of hit movies, most notably the "Fast & Furious" movies. He recently helped to make "Fast & Furious 6" a box office success. The movie has grossed $775 million worldwide, thus far.

Diesel has also acted and starred in such movies as "XXX," "Saving Private Ryan," "The Pacifier," "Boiler Room," "A Man Apart" and a handful of others. Aside from acting, he wrote and directed the original short film "Los Bandoleros" and co-produced "Fast & Furious," "Fast Five," "Fast & Furious 6" and will be doing the same for the upcoming seventh installment of the successful franchise.

Outside of acting, Diesel is the mind behind Tigon Studios, a successful video game company which created and produced "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay," a top-selling Xbox game. His next starring role is in "Riddick," the third movie in the "Riddick" franchise that began with 2000's "Pitch Black." The movie will have a worldwide release on September 6.
