Vince Gill Joins Hollywood Walk Of Fame

HOLLYWOOD—Country singer
Vince Gill will be presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this
Thursday, September 6. The ceremony will start at 11:30am and end at 12:15 p.m. His star will be placed next to his
wife’s, Amy Grant.
Gill is being recognized for his great
talent as a country singer. He plays the guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, dobro,
and fiddle, and has sold over 26 million albums. The country singer has been
awarded with 18 CMA Awards and 20
Grammy Awards, among many others. He has won more Grammy awards than any male
country artist. Gill is also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
His classics were “One More Last Chance,”
“My Kind of Woman,” and “I Still Believe in You.” Gill was born on April 2, 1957, in Norman, Oklahoma. He has played
in bluegrass bands, and pursued his passion by moving with his family to Nashville, Tennessee, where he signed
with MCA Records in 1989.
