HOLLYWOOD—Authorities discovered a man’s body near the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Vine Street. The body was discovered at approximately 1:30 a.m.
HOLLYWOOD—On November 9, an apartment building under
construction burst into flames in Hollywood. The incident occurred on 1425 N.
Detroit Street near Sunset Boulevard.

HOLLYWOOD—Firefighters were called to an early morning fire on Saturday, October 10, at 5170 Santa Monica Blvd. The commercial building was operating as a medical supply shop.
HOLLYWOOD—Three Los Angeles Police Department officers were charged with perjury during a drug possession trial in 2008. The officers have been ordered to surrender Thursday, October 8, for arraignment.
HOLLYWOOD—Christopher Perez, a reported missing 12-year-old boy, was found and transported to the Hollywood Division Police to confirm his safe return on Wednesday, September 30.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The LAFD extinguished a fire at a three-story hillside home. With the help of LAPD helicopters, property sprinklers and firefighters the fire was confined in 28 minutes.
HOLLYWOOD—A woman committed suicide near a motel in Hollywood.
The victim, who is believed to be in her 60s, shot herself. Paramedics were sent to the scene at approximately 6:30 a.m.
HOLLYWOOD—A man was killed after he jumped
out of an ambulance on the Hollywood Freeway.
The man, who is a
psychiatric patient, had jumped out of the private ambulance on the
southbound 101 Freeway.
HOLLYWOOD—Firefighters
rescued four workers on a 12-story high-rise structure. A total of 71
firefighters helped in the attempt to rescue the workers who were brought to
safety in nearly 46 minutes.
HOLLYWOOD—Choreographer Alex DaSilva was arrested for sexual assault charges earlier this week. The four
assaults reportedly occurred
between May 2003 and March 28, 2009.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The home of "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan was burglarized on Sunday, August 23. Police issued a press release with descriptions of the three suspects.
HOLLYWOOD—Hollywood Lake was reopened to the public on Thursday, August 6, at the
intersection of Montlake Drive and Tahoe Drive after a four-year hiatus, due to
previous rainfall damages.
HOLLYWOOD—A 50-year-old man died Saturday, July 18, after he was found stabbed on a sidewalk in Hollywood. A patrol unit found the victim unconscious with a stab wound in his chest.
