Burglar Wanted For Stealing From Church

LOS ANGELES—Police are seeking a suspect who burglarized a church in the Hollywood area on Saturday, December 22. The incident occurred at the Holy Transfiguration Russian Orthodox Church located at 5432 Fernwood Avenue.

The unidentified suspect gained access to the altar room and stole a reported total of 37 religious artifacts such as ornate metal crosses and chalices. According to a news release issued on Friday, December 28, the LAPD Hollywood Area Detectives seek the public's help in identifying the suspect and recovering the stolen items.

Hollywood Detectives are requesting that anyone with information related to this incident contact Hollywood Area Detective Division at 213-972-2931. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
