Catherine Zeta-Jones Returns To Rehab

LOS ANGELES—Catherine Zeta-Jones, Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress "Chicago," re-entered rehab to treat her type 2 bipolar disorder. Her reps confirmed on Monday, April 29 that the actress has “proactively checked herself into a healthcare facility” as part of her ongoing treatment.

 

Zeta-Jones, 43, first opened up about her battle with bipolar disorder back in September 2011, after her husband, Michael Douglas, mentioned her disease to Oprah Winfrey in an interview.

 

The actress is expected to remain in the live in facility for up to 30 days.

 

Celebrities including Eva Longoria have praised Zeta-Jones for openly acknowledging her disease and getting the necessary help she needs.

 

Fans of the actress have also expressed their support by taking to her Facebook fan page to share their kind words.

 

Jones and Douglas have been married since 2000 and have two children together Dylan, 10, and Carys, 8.
