LOS ANGELES—From Thursday, August 22, to Sunday, August 25, the annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival will take place in Downtown LA for a four-day and three-night immersion of cuisine, culture and entertainment. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Gathering for its third anniversary, the Food and Wine Festival will include the chance to sample and taste dishes from prominent gourmet chefs, see the sights of Los Angeles, hear the sounds of its entertainment scenes and festival acts, world class wine and spirit tastings, culinary lunches, two grand tastings brought by Lexus and book signings.

The event will take place in three cities, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Downtown LA, with events in each region.  In Downtown LA, the Food and Wine Festival will have events like: cooking demonstrations by Giada De Laurentiis, Michael Chiarello, Masaharu Morimoto, Fabio Vivani, Ziggy Marley, Ben Ford, Curtis Stone, The Hearty Boys, Duff Goldman, Lexus' sponsored Grant Achatz and Lexus' grand tasting as well as various wine, champagne and wine and cheese pairing tastings.  Each event ranges from $50 to $250 or a VIP Package ($995) that allows the top VIP access to five of the Food and Wine's most exclusive and anticipated events.

Around 125 chefs will display their culinary talents and will set up kitchens and temporary stoves on Grand Ave.  The opening act will start with Giada De Laurentiis' "Fiesa Italia" where 28 chefs will display their version and style of Italian cuisine.  Each dish will have the option of being paired with wine. Each year the Food and Wine Festival attracts about 20,000 guests eager to taste, drink, meet professional and well- known chefs.

Tickets are available and can be purchased online at lafw.com. Sponsors include: Food and Wine, Lexus, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Delta, Jenn Air, Whole Foods and more.
