LOS ANGELES—The divorce of reality star, Kim Kardashian, 32, and Brooklyn Nets Forward, Kris Humphries, 28, continues as Humphries missed a mandatory hearing on Friday, April 12.

The meeting was set to
begin at 8:30 a.m., but after Humphries did not show up by 9 a.m., Judge Hank Goldberg reportedly expressed his disappointment and suggested that fines would be handed out for Humphries’s failure to show up.

The judge did not allow any reporters in the courtroom as he spoke to Humphries’s legal team.

There is speculation that Humphries, who was preparing for his Friday night game against the Pacers, missed the conference in another attempt to prolong the divorce proceedings.

The hearing was set in hopes of establishing an agreement to avoid the May 6 trial, in which witnesses including Kardashian’s mother, Kris is expected to testify.

Kardashian, who has expressed wishes of ending her marriage before the arrival of her baby with rapper, Kanye West is looking to finalize their divorce based on their pre-nuptial agreement. Humphries’s lawyer asked for an annulment based on the notion that Kardashian had fraudulent intentions going into the 72 day marriage.

Another pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Friday, April 19.

Kardashian was escorted out of the courtroom by an officer from the Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department a little before noon, and remained silent as photographers surrounded her.
