LOS ANGELES—In 17 days, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the sixteenth time. On Monday, June 3 a gallon of self-serve gas was reduced a half-cent, bringing it to $4.016.
Over the past 17 days, the average gas price has decreased 7.9 cents. From one week ago, it has fallen 4.3 cents, and it is 24 cents lower than it was a year ago, according to the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
Thanks to a 13-day stretch of price increases, the average gallon of gasoline is 11.8 cents higher than it was a month ago.
According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Hollywood can be found at the Arco gas station located at 6100 Franklin Avenue and Gower Street. It is going for $3.89.
