Man Arrested In Connection With Stabbings

LOS ANGELES—Courtney A. Robinson, was arrested and charged
with three counts of attempted murder on July 20 in connection
with three homeless stabbings in the LA area.
Robinson, who is believed to be homeless as well, called 911
on Friday night and claimed responsibility for the attacks. He was arrested
shortly thereafter. The man is being held on a $50,000 bails plus $31,705 in
outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
The stabbings occurred throughout the LA area on July 3 near
Skidrow, July 17 in Santa Monica, and July 19 in Hollywood.
LAPD Commander Andrew Smith said during a press conference
on Saturday that the victims were specifically targeted, but that the reasoning
behind each attack is still unknown.
Robinson is believed to have stabbed two men in their 50’s
and a woman in her 40’s. Each of the victims was stabbed in the back in their
sleep but survived. According to Police, a 10-inch knife has been recovered from
near one of the scenes.
