LOS ANGELES—“The Full Monty” is coming your way! Third Street Theatre will be performing this Oscar-nominated drama-comedy starting September 7 through October 14. The musical number is based off of the 1997 film about men learning what it means to be men.
Six unemployed buffalo steelworkers are facing their inner demons concerning money and women. Feeling unwanted and unneeded by society, they turn to the profession of Chippendale-style strippers to earn money. This not-so-sexy bunch takes center stage performing possibly too intimately.
The musical is directed by Richard Israel, music and lyrics by David Yazbek, musical direction by Johanna Kent, and choreography directed by John Todd. This heart-warming, gut-laughing musical performs on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $28-34, for purchasing go to thirdstreettheatre.org or call 323-655-9232.
Originally written by Simon Beaufoy, total nudity, or “The Full Monty” will be exposed at the Third Street Theatre on 8115 West Third Street, Los Angeles 90048.
