KOREATOWN—Around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 26, Los Angeles Police officers in the Olympic Area of Korea Town responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of San Marino Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds on the front porch of an apartment complex.

The victims were two males and one female between the ages of 18 and 20 years old. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel quickly transported the three victims to a local hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, one of the male victims was pronounced dead. The remaining male and female victims are in stable condition, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The name of the deceased victim is being withheld from the public until the relatives of the victim are notified.

Detectives from the West Bureau Homicide Unit are handling the ongoing investigation. Detectives have revealed two suspects described as male Hispanics. According to the detectives, the two suspects walked up to the victims and opened fire. The crime is being described as gang related by the LAPD.
