Community Shred Day In Malibu

MALIBU—Keeping with the celebration of Earth
Month, Saturday, April 20 will be Malibu’s Community Shred Day, a recycling
extravaganza for the entire community.
The city has
released various community events that would help protect the environment and
keep the area clean with “green” all through the month for April’s recognition
of Earth Day on the 22nd.
Open to the
public, the event encourages everyone attending to bring old documents, paper,
CDs and even tapes to recycle. Waste such as motor oil, batteries and light
bulbs can also be collected and recycled as part of another simultaneous event
known as the Electronic Waste Collection. The limit amount of supplies will be
25 standard boxes for each person.
Earth Month events take place at City Hall.
for Earth Month began last month as a way for the city to celebrate the 43rd
anniversary of Earth Day. Taking place the same times will also be the Paint
Roundup, Smart Gardening workshop and the Waste to Waves Collection. All
events, including the Community Shred Day will all take place from 10 a.m. to 2
Hall will host the event and is located at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu. All
