MALIBU—The city of
Malibu has launched an interactive website for its residents in order to promote traffic safety tips and advice along the
Pacific Coast Highway. The website, called the malibumetroquest.com, endorses traffic solutions and guidance to various problems that arise on the
Pacific Coast Highway.
The website is part of
Malibu’s ongoing effort to reduce the number of dangerous incidents that occur persistently on PCH and contributes to the larger PCH Safety Study.

The website is expected to begin functioning on Tuesday, September 17, and will allow input from residents to improve the safety of PCH along location-specific and corridor-wide problems.
There were two meetings held at
MalibuCity Hall this week to discuss safety concerns on PCH. Public input was encouraged during the meetings. A 65-page report by the consultant firm LSA Associates was also reviewed during the meetings that focused on safety recommendations and improvements.
The report highlighted around 80 safety issues and also their subsequent remedies that could alleviate the dangers on PCH.
