Public Review Available for Subdivision Project

MALIBUFor 45 days, the residents of Malibu can have a say on the proposed Crummer Site Subdivision Project that is currently being produced. The public review began Wednesday, April 3, and will run 45-days until Monday, May 20, for the public to input their opinions, concerns or suggestions regarding this project.


The Crummer Site Subdivision Project is a proposed and developing project that hopes to divide seven individual lots at the location for new homes. The current analysis has lots one through fit primarily for single-family residents; lot six is planned as a private gated lot maintained by the homeowners association and lot seven would be entirely dedicated to the community’s recreational activities.

               

Associate planner, Ha Ly released a press release about the project and stated that “...the project site is zoned Planned Developed (PD). A PD zone is a zone that allows a property owner to create development standards that are unique to the project proposed on the site. These development standards provide for design flexibility and allow a group of parcels to be developed in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.”

The city has released a Proposed Planning Development Standard document available through the city’s website that analyzes key figures such as property requirements and propositions on the structures of the lots. Comments are being taken into consideration before any official developments proceed.
