The driver then promptly dialed 911 and followed Bynes for a short distance to a gas station. Six police cars arrived at the scene while a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter was already overhead. Officers concluded the damage to the pick-up truck was minimal and it was possible that Bynes had no idea she hit anyone. The alleged victim reported there was a minor paint rub on the right front fender of his vehicle.
While a traffic report was filed, no hit-and-run charges were filed and Bynes was free to go. Officers reported that Bynes was cooperative and there was no indication she was under the influence. Both drivers exchanged insurance information.
This is the fourth traffic related incident for the former Nickelodeon star in the last month. On April 5, Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence after colliding with a police car. On the evening of April 12, Bynes was seen texting while driving as she headed to Greystone Manor Supperclub. Then on April 16, the actress held up traffic in the middle of Robertson Blvd. while attempting to perform a 3-point turn.
