Taking place August 18, Simply diVine has been previously held at Two Rodeo Drive

MELROSE—Melrose will feature an evening of wine and fine cuisine at the seventh annual “Simply diVine,” the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center’s (LAGLC) annual fundraiser on August 18.

Sponsored by Wells Fargo and benefiting the LAGLC and their services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, this August will mark the event’s first time at the venue in Melrose Place, after being hosted for many years at Two Rodeo in Beverly Hills.

“Like in past years, Simply diVine will bring together many incredible restaurants and wineries,” said Chef and Event Co-Chair Susan Feniger, who owns participating restaurants STREET and Border Grill, in the press release. “It’s still an evening with decadent tastes, delightful aromas and wonderful people—but this year we’re taking over the chic, charming Melrose Place cul-de-sac to accommodate even more people.”

While participating restaurants, breweries and wineries will be announced August 1, past events have featured fare from Tres by Jose Andres, Vina Robles, and Alta Maria. In addition to the main sampling event running from 7-10 p.m., 100 VIP  guests will enjoy a special two-hour tasting of high-end wines at Marc Jacobs Collection from 5-7 p.m.

Besides fine dining, guests can take part in a silent and live auction, also benefiting the efforts of the LAGLC which include homeless youth services, HIV/AIDS medical care, youth mentoring and development, seniors services, and more.
