PACIFIC PALISADES—On Tuesday, July 23, a man was found dead in the Palisades Highlands by a gunshot at 1476 Paseo De Oro.
A woman who was allegedly the man’s caregiver was also found at the scene with multiple wounds and was transported immediately to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police had responded initially to a report of shot heard at the Pacific Palisades property around 8:24 a.m. After arriving at the scene, authorities found an adult man fatally wounded with one gunshot and a woman nursing various gunshot wounds. The incident is suspected to be an attempted murder-suicide case.
The woman was reported to be in stable condition on Wednesday, July 24 around 4:15 p.m. by LAPD PIO Bruce Borinhanh.
There are multiple speculations as to the relationship between the man and the woman. According to the police, the man had a medical condition that was necessary for him to be looked after by a caregiver. The victim’s name is not being released, as he was believed to have suffered from a stroke.
