Recurrent Crime Sparks Community Update

PACIFIC PALISADES—On Monday, July 18, a crime update was posted to the Pacific Palisades Community Council webpage. Incidents that took place within the week starting on Monday, July 12 include but are not limited to robbery, vandalism, stolen vehicles, home and vehicle burglary.
On the early morning of Saturday, July 16, a burglary was reported on the 15200 block of Earlham Street. According to the report given, the victim’s home was forcefully entered. However, it has not yet been determined whether any of the residents’ belongings were misappropriated.
Close to 15 hours later, an act of vandalism was witnessed on the
100 block of Entrada Drive. A description of the offense states that an older, black male threw a rock through the back window of a local neighbor’s automobile. Less than a mile away, similar defacing of property happened at the
300 block of Mesa Road as well as near the
TemescalCanyon and Sunset intersection. In these cases, it was mentioned in the explanations that possessions of the vehicle owners’ were stolen.
According to the update, the Los Angeles Police Department continues to work alongside the citizens of Pacific Palisades. Neighbors are being encouraged to lock their vehicles and residences.
