Main Street's Endless Summer SOULstice Festival
The initial idea of the Summer SOULstice was to create a crowd in order to keep those attending the farmer's market in the area longer, so a concert-style event was introduced. The event now gathers a wide variety of people, bands and curious on-lookers from the
Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
Sunday night commenced with the musical entertainment of 15 bands including: Highway 61 Revisited (Bob Dylan Tribute), Dr. Wu (Steely Dan Tribute), Chainsaw Brothers (Original Blues), Moose, Turn The Page (Bob Seger Tribute), The Rising (Springsteen Tribute), Southbound (Allman Brothers Tribute), Petty Theft (Tom Petty Tribute), and Neil Deal (Neil Young Tribute).
The Endless Summer SOULstice Festival’s objective was to gather the heart of the community in celebration of music, summer and fun in the midst of
Santa Monica's diversified and multicultural collection of boutiques, cafes, restaurants and community stretching out a mile towards the city's borders.
Sponsors for this event included: the Enterprise Fish Co., Buy Local Santa Monica, Edgemar Center for the Arts, Areal Restaurant, Great American Deals Santa Monica, LA Weekly, Allan Company, Lula Cocina Mexicana, Finn McCool’s Irish Pub, and 220 Fitness, with additional support from Rick’s Tavern, Library Alehouse, Circle Bar, and OneWest Bank.
