3.2 Earthquake In Santa Monica Bay Area

SANTA MONICA—According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a minor earthquake shook the Santa Monica Bay area at approximately 7:52 p.m. Friday, April 26.

With a preliminary magnitude of 3.2, the tremor occurred roughly two miles north of El Segundo and two miles south of Marina del Rey.

The Los Angeles Fire Department announced that it was in its regular operating mode post-quake.

According to the USGS Community-Generated Intensity Map, the 3.2 quake was detected in many areas on both the Westside and the South Bay by more than 1,400 people. No emergency calls were made following the quake.

Twitter results showed that the jolt was felt by people on Sepulveda and Washington boulevards, south of Sony Studios in Culver City and in West Hollywood.
