Eight-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped By Mother

SANTA MONICA—On Wednesday, March 6, eight-year-old Jounel Armon Taylor spent the night with his mother, Adriana Johns. Johns, 27, was supposed to take her son to school the following day, but according to Sergeant Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police Department, Taylor did not show up.

“Johns, who lost custody of her son in December 2012 to her mother, fled with her son to an unknown location and has stopped communicating with her mother,” Lewis told Canyon News. 

SMPD is asking the public for help in the on-going search for Taylor and Johns. Police describe Taylor as an African-American male with a medium complexion, brown eyes, black hair, 5 feet tall and 100 pounds.

Johns is described as an African-American female with medium brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 145 pounds.“[John’s] is not known to possess a vehicle and her whereabouts are unknown at this time,” Lewis said.
