AltCar Expo This Weekend
Posted by Ryan J. Beard on Sep 26, 2012 - 6:05:37 PM

SANTA MONICA—This weekend at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, don’t miss the seventh Annual AltCar Expo and Conference. The renowned event will focus on alternative transportation and different ways to alleviate the negative effects of the daily commute that so many Angelinos deal with from day to day.

Those who attend the expo will have the chance to test drive, and experience first hand all of the latest developments and advancements made in car and fleet technology. Additionally they will have the chance to learn about Southern California infrastructure developments including electric charging stations and preferred parking for hybrid vehicles.

The expo is the best-attended and most extensive presentation of alternative technology vehicles, alternative transportation, urban planning, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction. It will feature the largest collection of hydrogen, electric, propane, and natural gas vehicles available to fleets on the West Coast.

Below are the expo’s featured events:

Fleets conference on Friday, September 28, featuring a roundtable discussion moderated by Rick Teebay.

Saturday sessions on the latest dialogue in alternative transportation.

Ride & Drive where all attendees can test-drive the newest sustainable options in cars from major manufacturers and alternative companies.

Southern California debut of Toyota’s new RAV4 EV and Ford’s new C-MAX.

The latest cars from Toyota, Chevy, CODA, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Kia, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Smart and Wheego.

The Expo is being held this weekend, Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and is free to the public. Visit http://www.altcarexpo.com/index.html for more information.
