Fatal Collision In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a traffic collision that involved a vehicle and motorcycle on Monday, January 28 at 1:03 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old male from Inglewood, stopped at a stop sign while nortbound on 25th Street at Pico Boulevard. The motorcycle was driven by 22-year-old Alexander
Smollins from Culver City who was driving eastbound in the 2400 block of Pico Boulevard.

The collision reportedly occurred as the driver of the vehicle made a left turn on westbound Pico. Smollins died at the scene of the accident.
