SANTA MONICAPolice are still seeking suspects from an armed robbery that occurred mid-July inside a medical marijuana clinic, leaving one security guard injured.

“On July 17, 2012, around 11 a.m., 25-year-old Cornell White and two unidentified black males walked into a medical marijuana clinic in the 1300 block of West Olympic Blvd,” according to LAPD reports.  White, who was a regular of the clinic, distracted the security guard while his two accomplices attacked the guard.

White and one suspect rummaged through the stores of marijuana and cash at the clinic. The third suspect was left to tend to the guard, who was held down at gunpoint.  The three escaped out the clinic’s back door and the guard chased after them.  He was shot in the process as the pursuit neared 11th Street and Albany, according to police.

The suspects sped off in a 1985 two-door Toyota Celica driven by White.

The guard was transported to a local hospital.  He was listed as stable in his condition.

White and the driver of the getaway vehicle, Brandon Mabson-Martin, 28, were identified by detectives after they discovered the car mere hours later.  Martin was booked for robbery and released on a $150,000 bail.  White and his accomplices in the incident remain at large.
