SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Public Library will be presenting Gloria McMillan's “Orbiting Ray Bradbury's Mars” on July 30. McMillan's book was published in 2013.

The event, which is aimed at adults and seniors, explores the collection of essays written by Gloria McMillan. According to Explorer News, McMillan “is an adjunct writing instructor at Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus.”

“Orbiting Ray Bradbury's Mars” is explained by McFarland, a publisher of academic and non-fiction books, as an exploration of Ray Bradbury's life and science fiction works, such as "The Martian Chronicles."

The University of Arizona libraries, who opened a “Mars Madness Sci-Fi Exhibit” that also focused on Ray Bradbury's science fiction journey back in January 2014, quoted McMillan saying she “aimed to present a ‘kaleidoscopic view’ of Bradbury, and his work, through the academic lenses of anthropology, literature, science, media, and education.”

The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and is located at the Santa Monica Public Library on 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
