Man Accused Of Attempted Rape On Bus Bench

SANTA MONICA—Santa Monica police are asking for the public's help to locate additional victims of a registered sex offender who was arrested on Wednesday, June 19.
Kelechi Amadi, 34, was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly attempting to rape a woman who was waiting for a bus in Santa Monica.
The woman claims that Amadi told her he was going to rape her.
Police interrupted the attack on the 400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and arrested Amadi for sexual battery and assault to commit rape.
The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying any additional victims. Amadi is homeless and is known to travel extensively throughout the
Los Angeles area, utilizing public transportation.
